This vintage necklace & earrings set by Gerardo Lopez of is an attention grabber. Gerardo Lopez had a highly regarded shop in the 1950's in Taxco and his silver jewelry was of high quality. The warrior motif harkens back to pre-Columbian art in both Maya and Aztec decorations on ancient temples and is most likely Toltec in origin.

Necklace is 20 inches long and center mask is 1 1/2 inches in height with side masks 7/8 inches in height. Necklace weight is 2.6 ounces. Markings on necklace are "Eagle 26 with Lopez Taxco Sterling 925 Hecho En Mexico". Necklace is vintage and has no noted damage. Original patina is present.

The earrings are vintage clip and were adapted from the original screwbacks. The clips have a soft closure and are comfortable to wear.
