Los Castillo vintage sterling silver earrings are an early design circa 1940. Although petite in size, these earrings pack a visual impact with the unusual design and curves which accentuate the face. Antonio Castillo and brothers were amoung the first apprentices of William Spratling. In 1939, the Castillo brothers left to begin their own taller, Los Castillo. This early design shows the strong influence of William Spratling on early Los Castillo designs. The design is pictured in the book "Mexican Silver 20th Century Handwrought Jewelry & Metalwork " by Penny Morrill & Carole Berk on page 82.
