This striking vintage bracelet will gather you immediate attention. The amethysts are simply electric! Repousse work in the silver compliments the amethysts perfectly. This piece has been produced with the "Anton" mark from Mexico City and thus I am attributing this piece to Jose Anton. Pre-eagle Mexican silver jewelry did not commonly have a maker’s mark prior to 1948.
Details:
Bracelet is 7 ¼ inches long, 1 7/8 inches wide. Weight is a substantial 2.4 ounces. Mark is "Mexico Sterling". Condition of bracelet is excellent with no dents, dings, or scratches noted. Some of the amethysts do have internal fissures, but they do not extend to the stones surface, and there are no cracks in the stones. This is very common for Mexican amethyst. Under a loupe, some wear is seen on the amethyst surfaces. When on your wrist, it is not noticeable.
