This collar necklace with ebony inlay is an original design by Sigi Pineda who is one of last living silver masters still producing new designs in Taxco, Mexico. Sigi Pineda is famous for his modernist designs which were radically different from the other silver masters who produced silver jewelry during the golden age of Taxco dating from the 1930’s to the 1970’s. This collar necklace brilliantly displays the quality and design elements for which Sigi designs are known. Ebony inlay jewelry from Taxco is not seen with great frequency because of the techical expertise required to make these pieces.
