This parure is a recreation of a Hector Aguilar design from the golden period of Taxco jewelry production. Hector Aguilar was an early apprentice of Willliam Spratling and left to establish the Taller Borda in 1939. Sr. Aguilar utilized pre-Columbian motifs extensively in his designs and this parure is a fabulous example. The parure has been flawlessly recreated by Maestro Jose Luis Flores who worked with Hector Aguilar for many years. Quality and attention to detail are very evident in the set. Sr. Luis has placed the original Hector Aguilar hallmark on these pieces as he was given permission to do by Sr. Aguilar prior to his death.
