This bracelet is a fabulous example of 1940's Mexican silver jewelry. The styling is heavily influenced by jewelry created for Fred Davis who was the first American to produce silver jewelry for the tourist trade in Mexico and proceeded William Spratling. Fred Davis was a collector of folk art and admired the pre-Columbian art in Mexico.
