These rare vintage William Spratling design earrings are in a larger size and are leightweight. The nautilus earrings have been created using the technique of repousse which gives the earrings a three dimensional effect without the weight. The artist of these earrings is unknown but most likely a silversmith employed by William Spratling. The original patina is intact on the earrings. This design was only included in the 1942 wholesale catalog.

Earrings are 1 3/8 inches long and 7/8 inches wide. Weight for the pair is 0.5 ounces. Markings are “Silver Mexico” & “Mexico”. The earrings have the original screwbacks. Content of the earrings is sterling silver or higher silver content.
