Hector Aguilar of Taxco Reproduction Sterling Silver Knot Pierced Earrings

Hector Aguilar reproduction sterling silver earrings with knot pattern are rarely seen. These classic earrings were created by Manuel Gutierrez who was a silversmith for Hector Aguilar at the Taller Borda in Taxco for many years. Sr. Gutierrez is one of two surviving silversmiths actively producing jewelry from Hector Aguilar's taller. Sr. Gutierrez is currently in his 80's. These earrings are featured in the book "Silver Masters of Mexico" by Penny Morrill on page 98. 
 
Details:
Earrings are 11/16 inches long & 11/16 inches wide. Weight for the pair is 0.4 ounces. Markings are "925". Earrings are composed of sterling silver and have post backs for pierced ears.
