These iconic paloma or dove earrings were a creation of the "Matl" studio and originally designed by Matilde Poulat. Matilde Poulat was a contemporary of Diego Rivera and instructor at the prestigious San Carlos Academy of Art in Mexico City. Her designs are a unique blend of indigenous and colonial art and reflect Mexican heritage. The earrings were created by hand with the repousse technique.
