This fabulous chunky bracelet was originally designed by Fred Davis in the 1930's. Fred Davis, an American ex-pat was the first to design and market silver jewelry to the tourist trade based upon a Mexican aesthetic with pre-Hispanic motifs. The vintage bracelet was created by an artisan who worked for Fred Davis and most likely from the 1930's or 1940's time period.
Details:
Bracelet has a wearable length of 7 1/4 inches and is 1 inch wide. Weight for the bracelet is 2.6 ounces. Markings are "Silver Made in Mexico". The bracelet has a silver content of at least sterling but will most likely test for a higher silver content. Stonework is genuine amethyst from Mexico. The bracelet is in excellent vintage conditon with no known problems.
