This elegant bracelet is a fabulous example of Mexican artistry during the 1930's. The design is very Spanish in flavor and most likely from an artisan located in Mexico City. The bracelet will fit a smaller wrist but is wide and will be noticed when worn.
Details:
Bracelet has a wearable length of 6 1/2 inches and is 1 5/8 inches wide. Weight is 1.8 ounces. Markings are "BLM Hecho en Mexico 925". The bracelet is composed of sterling silver with natural amethysts. The amethysts do not have any cracks. The variations in the stone color are typical of amethyst mined in Mexico. There are two small flea bites on the surface of two stones but really only noticable if you run your finger over the top of the stones. This bracelet was created prior to 1948 when the Eagle marking system went into effect in Mexico. The bracelet has a tongue in box closure and safety chain.
